Solvent Recovery

Solvents that evaporate during the production process are widely used in many industries such as printing facilities, laundries, and dye plants. The recuperation of these solvents is highly advisable for both environmental and cost-cutting purposes.

Recuperation consists of the sedimentation of solvents on activated carbon; they are then desorbed through exposure to superheated steam or recovered via the application of hot inert gas. This condensate is then treated to recover the solvent for use in later stages of the production process.
